Module 3: Cyberbullying

Bullying is a BIG issue, and always has been. I went through much more than my fair share of it, and therefore have a personal conviction to do everything that I can to try and make every students' experience at school the best it can be. Students should not dread going to school or looking at their phones because of bullying in any form. I hope as an educator (and artist!) I can make a BIG impact on this BIG problem!

Part A: Cyberbullying & Social Media Resources

I have chosen to use Pintreset as my resource center. Pinterest is visually based, extremely easy to use and I can "Pin" anything I can attach a photo to. This means anything I find on the internet, as well as anything I take photos of myself.

This is also the link to my regular teaching board, check that out too if you like!

Part B: Digital Citizenship Lesson Plan (Grade 8)

Although I am currently working on my Elementary Education degree, I have chosen to design my lesson plan for a Grade 8 Girl Power class. My reason being I found the video resource you will see linked in the lesson plan and it really resounded with. I believe eighth grade girls would greatly benefit from the message that we all need to stand up for each other and police ourselves when it comes to bullies.
