Grade 1: My Second Year Teaching! 2018-19
These are student work samples from Grade 1 during my second year teaching. All of my student work has been given with permission, from both guardians and students, and names have been erased. Obviously, some of the worksheets etc scanned here I did not design and do not own the templates. Some of the worksheets I purchased the rights to use in an educational context. The purpose of sharing this is to show you the work my wonderful students created, not to advertise or steal anyone’s work.
Thank you so much for checking it out, and I hope you enjoy reading through them as much as I do!

Many of my kiddos from this year came to me with little or no literacy skills or letter sounds. I got creative with practice! These are gel bags and ping pong balls. I also invited representatives to come from Alberta Health Services to be guest teachers in my classroom for a half hour every week for 2 months. I learned many awesome fine motor and printing practice techniques from them!

I prefer to have student or whole class created work fill my walls. Makes for interesting reference materials! I am most proud of the “The Curious Garden” literacy to science connections. I would see my students walk back and forth between the boards!
